Reece studied Sculpture at Brighton Art College, graduating in 1985
He studied under Peter Randall Page who taught him to carve and inspired him to become a sculptor. Reece has also worked for Peter on various occasions, most recently for Peter's solo show at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
In 1992 Reece completed an MA in Site Specific Sculpture at Wimbledon.
Reece has had a broad and varied career as a sculptor, completing many public and private commissions, Residencies and school workshops, throughout Britain. He is also teaching in art colleges around Cornwall and will have completed his teaching certificate in April.
Some of his more notable achievements have been residencies at Grizedale Forest, work for the Princess Diana Memorial playground, Kensington Gardens, sculpture for the Eden Project and a residency on Dartmoor with Aune Head Arts.
Working and sharing his skills with people of all ages has always been central to his practice.
Last year he completed 7 sheep for the the Horse trials at the Olympics . The sheep are now permanently sited in a playground in Greenwich park . He is currently working on a commission for the E Nesbit Society ( author of the Railway Children and five children and IT. )
