TUTOR: Lynn Bailey

My work focuses on aspects of landscape and the environment, particularly the interaction between human activity and the vitality of nature. A recurring interest is the way the earth is shaped and patterned by successive layers of habitation. I return to particular sites and themes at regular intervals for inspiration. I use a wide range of printmaking processes, including etching, collagraph and imprinting into clay. A feature of my work is the use of materials such as plants, soil and refuse gathered from the sites being studied. I am a founder and director of Double Elephant Print Workshop and a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. Examples of my work can be seen on the following web sites:
