TUTORS: Jackie Abey and Jill Smallcombe
Jackie Abey and Jill Smallcombe have worked in collaboration for six years, creating sculptures and sculptural buildings. They have published a book: ‘Cob Buildings a Practical Guide’, and taught at numerous universities and art colleges. They have exhibited nationally and have constructed permanent cob buildings for the Eden Project and the National Trust.
They have been awarded Arts Council funding and the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship and Prince's Foundation both for travel abroad to study earth buildings in Arizona, New Mexico, Mali, West Africa and India.
