TUTORS
TUTOR: David Brampton-Greene
David was born in London in 1958, he attended Emanuel School for Boys, and later studied at Central St Martins and Wimbledon School of Art under Glynn Williams. He met sculptor, Peter Randall-Page in the early 80’s and began a friendship and working relationship which has continued to this day.
David’s stone carving skills and knowledge of the technical aspects of working with large stone sculpture has been invaluable over the years on many projects. David recently assisted in one of Peter’s most ambitious works to date. A 70 ton granite sculpture carved from a single piece of stone, to be sited at the centre of the Eden Project’s new building.
David is a natural teacher and has run a number of different types of art courses: these include stone carving, relief carving and drawing workshops around the country, The Serpentine Gallery, 3D Design at Exeter College 2003 and the Natural History Museum in 2004. He lives locally within the Dartmoor National Park.
