COURSE DESCRIPTION:

What is the relationship between environment and poetry; between nature and the imagination?

Poems can create a dwelling place within which we uncover, explore and celebrate our relationship with the natural world - how do forms of poetry, imagery, sound and rhythm create this dwelling place?

This course will explore these and other questions through focussed morning writing workshops, 1-to-1 tutorials in the afternoons with ample individual writing time, evening readings, and a supportive group dynamic. We will, of course, be making use of the outstanding natural environment around Drewsteignton.
